Stay Connected: Install the App & Enable Push Notifications
Never miss a coverage opportunity. Get My Sub Hub on your home screen and receive instant notifications when someone needs you.
In the dance world, timing is everything. A studio posts a last-minute coverage request at 8 AM for a 10 AM class — if you're not checking the app constantly, you might miss it. That's why we built My Sub Hub as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with push notifications: so you can stay connected without being glued to your browser.
This guide will walk you through installing My Sub Hub on any device — from iPhones to Steam Decks — and enabling push notifications so you're always in the loop.
Why Install the App?
- Faster access
One tap from your home screen — no typing URLs or searching through bookmarks.
- App-like experience
No browser bars, tabs, or distractions. Full-screen immersion.
- Push notifications
Get instant alerts for coverage requests, application updates, and messages.
- Works offline
View your dashboard and cached content even without internet.
iPhone & iPad (iOS/iPadOS)
Important: You must use Safari. Chrome and other browsers on iOS don't support "Add to Home Screen" with full PWA features.
- 1
Open Safari and go to mysubhub.io
Make sure you're using Safari, not Chrome or another browser.
- 2
Tap the Share button
Square with arrow pointing up (bottom of screen) - 3
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
Add to Home Screen - 4
Tap "Add" to confirm
My Sub Hub will appear on your home screen with our purple icon.
Push notifications on iPhone only work when you open the app from your home screen. This is an Apple requirement for web apps (iOS 16.4+).
Android
Android offers the best PWA support of any platform. You may even see an automatic "Add to Home Screen" prompt when you visit!
- 1
Open Chrome, Edge, or Firefox
Navigate to mysubhub.io
- 2
Tap the menu button
Three dots in the top right corner - 3
Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
The wording varies by browser version.
- 4
Confirm the installation
Done! Find the My Sub Hub icon on your home screen or app drawer.
Best push notification support. Android handles web push notifications just like native app notifications — instant and reliable.
Windows
Windows supports installing web apps through Chrome or Edge. Once installed, My Sub Hub appears in your Start menu and taskbar like any other application.
